_Ace of Spades ~ Well-bred 15.2 hh 2001 Buckskin Andalusian / Quarter Horse (Azteca) Gelding
_Ace is a beautiful half Andalusian gelding with nice Andalusian movement. He has been a pleasure and trail horse his whole life. He had one month of dressage training in Oct, 2011, and was coming onto the bit nicely at the end of that month. If purchased as a dressage horse, he would need to go into further professional training. Ace has been on "vacation" since Nov. 2011 and will need an intermediate or better rider to get him going again.
Easy Easy keeper! Does not eat much and stays fat! Sound with no history of lameness. Always barefoot, good for farrier, ties, bathes, clips, grooms without problem, loads right into the trailer, up to date on all vaccines, coggins, worming and dental. Gets along great with all the horses, and is not dominant. He has lived stalled and has lived turned out 24/7 with a lean-to. Age is based on what his previous owner told the current owner.
Measures 15.2 hh but feels much bigger.
Ace's sire Capprichio was imported from Spain in 1999 by Sabine Schut-Kery who has since sold him. Copy of Capprichio's USDF registration certificate and registration from Proud Meadows Farm in Cedar Hill is available.
Capprichio's career highlights are:
**On Jan 9, 2012 Ace was diagnosed with EPM. The symptoms were very mild. We thought he was having some behavior issues after being ridden for the first time after a 2 month break due to the holidays, but decided to have a vet look at him to rule out physical issues first. His EPM symptoms were very minor, and he is responding very well to the treatment. He has not become ataxic nor did he lose much coordination. The vet felt it was caught very early and was optimistic for a full recovery at the time of diagnosis. And Ace is showing improvement after only weeks of treatment!
Due to this diagnosis, and the purchase of a new horse, Ace's owner is asking $1,500 for Ace, but is open to offers from a good home.

Independent Lady Bug ~ 15.3 2002 Registered AQHA Chestnut Mare ~ Free to a good approved home
Ladybug is from the Bugs Alive bloodline. She has had one lovely filly with no complications, and was a great mother. She would make an excellent broodmare to pass on her nice bloodlines, or recipient mare for embryo transfer. She has a large hock that is purely cosmetic. She has had it for many years and does not cause her any discomfort. Ladybug was started under saddle but is not considered "broke to ride." Being re-homed as a broodmare.

Dakotas Black Magic ~ 15.3 hh 1995 Black APHA Gelding
Dakota is a handsome great guy who is is a well trained all around horse.
He is mainly trained and ridden western, and will sidepass, turn on haunches and forehand, and backs off leg with very little rein. He is very well mannered and respectful with a great temperament. He will ride in the arena or on trails, has an awesome walk/trot and a ground covering canter. His owner has done some intro dressage with him but mostly pleasure riding. Dakota is the horse that can be left to pasture for months and be just fine when started back. He is up to date on all shots, coggins, farrier and worming, good for the vet and farrier.
Dakota does have allergies and is currently on allergy shots. In the Spring time he is also on Hydroxazine. An added expense but he is well worth it!
Owner swears he is camera shy! This is the only photo she has of him, and the rain is not helping!

Luke ~ 15.3 hh 2003 Bay Thoroughbred Gelding
_Luke is a great guy, and easy to ride! He is a nice easy-going gentleman for any age rider, and would make an excellent hunter or dressage show horse with eventing experience! He has a nice rhythmic canter, great attitude and quiet demeanor without being lazy. Currently schooling 2’6", is honest to the fences and has lead changes. Luke has not been shown much, but has been trailered to many different venues for cross country and stadium schoolings. He excels in the arena and has such a nice rhythmic gait, we think he would shine the brightest in the hunter or dressage ring! He will go onto the bit nicely, and will round and stretch into contact. Luke does have a low bow in his left front leg from his former life as a racehorse. It has been vetted sound (with ultrasound).
Luke ties, bathes, clips, good for farrier, goes barefoot (has been barefoot for 3 years) loads into the trailer, is up to date on all shots, coggins, worming and farrier.
VIDEO of Luke ridden by an adult. Walk, trot, canter outside. Jumping a small course inside with lead changes. And Luke patiently standing in the arena while we set jumps.
VIDEO of Luke ridden by an 11 year old girl. Walk, trot, canter in a dressage arena. Jumping inside.

~SOLD~ Charlie ~ 15.1 hh 2001 Registered AQHA Buckskin Gelding - Congratulations Steve!
Charlie is a very handsome and stout registered Quarter Horse. He has a gorgeous near buttermilk coat with a thick black mane and tail, and black legs. Although he is 15.1 hh, he is very stout and takes up your leg. He feels large and can easily be ridden by a tall adult.
Charlie does it all! He can be ridden English or Western and does neck rein. Rides bareback too. He rides equally well inside or out of the arena. He is quiet and calm, with a quick trot when asked, and an smooth canter. He can be ridden daily or go some time without riding; he is the same horse no matter what. He has had the same owner family since 2004 and had been living the “good life” in the pasture during that time, due to life circumstances. He was put back into work in May of this year without problem. Prior to his family owning him, they were told he had won money as a team penning horse, and has some reining training. Selling because owner wants to buy a horse that is already trained to do dressage and jumping, ready to compete now, rather than put the long term training into Charlie. He is a very easy keeper, goes barefoot and has no history of lameness or illness. Up to date on all vaccines, coggins, dental, farrier. Stands, ties, clips, bathes, good for the farrier.
Lots of photos and videos!

~SOLD~Lone Star ~ 15.2 2002 Registered Sorrel Tobiano Paint Mare Congratulations Barbara!
“Lone Star” is a stunningly beautiful and sweet mare. She has had the same owner for the past 4 years. During that time she spent 90 days in professional training with Sherry Haynes for western pleasure. Lone Star has been ridden both Western and English, and does well at both. She has competed in local open shows and placed in both Western and English events, as well as halter. She is a simple and straightforward horse to ride, is quiet and has a great brain. She will perform beautifully for an experienced rider, or take care of a beginner. Loves trail rides too! She has spent the past year as a spoiled pasture ornament as life and school has gotten in the way of her owner riding. In spite of that, the day this ad was placed she was brought up from the pasture and ridden both bareback and with a saddle without issue, after not being ridden for 3 months. Soft mouth, knows her leads, up to date on all vaccines, coggins and farrier. Clips, bathes, loads. 2002 Sorrel Tobiano Registered APHA mare “Sparkles Likesdiamond”

~SOLD~ Casper ~ 15.2 hh 1996 Appaloosa Gelding
Casper is a sweet Appaloosa that has done so much! He had been shown in eventing by his previous owner (who went off to college), and has been used as a school horse for JoMar Farms for the last year. He has been used in both dressage and jump lessons. Easily comes on the bit, has a great step, makes the distances and has a fantastic jump! Jumping 2’6” and has jumped up to 3’ in lessons with no effort. We have taken him cross country schooling with no problem either. Casper bathes, clips, walks right into the trailer, will stay tied to the trailer all day. UTD on all vaccines, coggins, worming, and dental. Good for the farrier and has never had shoes since we have had him. Lives equally well in a pasture 24/7 or in a stall with daily turnout. Currently turned out with a group. Age is approximate, he is not papered. Casper has some age related issues which were diagnosed on 7/13/11, less than one week after the youtube videos were made (see link below). He began dropping his left hip but did not exhibit any pain, and had been doing so for a few months. After x-ray and ultrasound, it was found that he has mild arthritis in his hock, a bone cyst in one of the stifle bones (but the cyst is not in the joint, and does not hinder it), and some suspensory changes. All in the left hind. This makes him drop his hip, but not exhibit pain. He has a lot if life left in him, but he cannot go to a show this way, and JoMar Farms is parting with Casper to a good home, simply because room is needed for horses that can be show ready on the school line.Full medical records, x-rays etc will be released for review if desired.
Free to a good home!NOT FOR A CHILD. NOT FOR A BEGINNER. Intermediate or better rider only. Can be strong, can buck. If you are an intermediate or better rider, he will not take advantage of you, and will be just fine! Smart horse!

Teak ~ 15.2 hh 17 yr old Quarter Horse Gelding ~ Re-Homed to retirement home. THANKS!
Owner Description:
Teak is an incredible quarter horse. He's the kind of horse that will do ANYTHING you ask of him and everyone that rides him falls in love. Ridden english and western, or bareback with only a rope around his neck. Ground ties, leads w/o a leadrope, comes when called, and will not move a muscle when you're mounting up. Would love to find someone who is just getting started with horses for Teak to teach and build confidence for. He will babysit anyone but also go when asked. He's got a lot of spunk when you ask for it. He would also be perfect for someone who just wants a horse they don't have to fight with. Teak is excellent on trails. He's been started in the Clinton Anderson training methods lately and literally learns things almost immediately. Price is negotiable to the right home. Teak was just recently diagnosed with acute thinning of his front left navicular bone. He will need coffin bone injections if he is ridden any harder than just pleasure or daily trail riding.
Teak is located in Sunnyvale TX. Please contact owner Kyle for information or an appointment to see Teak! 214-212-0084 or kyletatum@hotmail.com
Teak has been re-homed. Thanks!
